- Creating, managing and producing more than 2,300 pages and 3,000 posts on 26 Finance and Operations websites;
- Shooting and producing 23 videos and 4,000-plus photos;
- Designing 72 graphic elements and 234 digital display pages; and
- Responding to more than 50 media requests and managing 10 social media accounts.
Add to those numbers the dozens of news stories, newsletters, forms, flyers, brochures, and annual reports the team writes, designs, edits and proofs in a year’s time, and you have some very active employees.
With all this effort, is anyone listening, seeing or reading the work? It would seem so, if you consider more than one million website visits in the last six months, more than half a million social media impressions annually, and writing, editing and proofing scores of memos, policies, newsletters, annual reports, brochures, forms and other media. One tweet* alone accounted for more than 18,284 impressions.
However, much of the communication team’s work cannot be measured solely by numbers, since their work in communications planning, issues management and marketing consultation for Finance and Operations (F&O) is a major part of their work.
“We are strategic partners with our colleagues throughout the division to support their projects from planning through completion,” says Allison Reid, executive director of communications and marketing for F&O. “We invite our colleagues to contact us as soon as possible when they have a communication need so we can develop a comprehensive plan to help them best achieve their goals.”
From economics to fine arts to divinity degrees, and from marketing the latest music album to working with regional and national news organizations, the background of the communications team members is deep and diverse, adding to the overall effectiveness of the marketing and communications efforts.
