What is your role in the Service Center of Excellence?
I am the apprenticeship and professional training coordinator for the SCE. I joined the SCE in August 2023 and was hired to establish the apprenticeship program and other professional training programs.
What did you do before you came to the SCE?
I spent twenty-nine years working at the University of Colorado.
What is your favorite part of working at the SCE?
My favorite part is definitely the people. They’re so relaxed here and encourage you to try new things. Everyone is always asking if I need help or asking for ways that they can be helpful. I’ve been really impressed with how much of a family environment it is here.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I’m married and have two daughters, ages 20 and 17, but my girls still live in Colorado so I spend most of my free time going back and forth between here and there. I also love the beach, so my husband and I just bought a beach house that we recently closed on. I’m looking forward to spending my free time there as well.
What is something people probably wouldn’t know about you or another fun item you’d like to share?
I am an avid Wizard of Oz collector, and I have an entire China cabinet dedicated to Wizard of Oz memorabilia.
