Franklin, a two-year-old chocolate Labrador retriever, is an assistance dog with a specialty in crisis response working alongside officers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to support individuals experiencing stress or trauma.

In her presentation of a draft Campus Master Plan to the University Board of Trustees on May 31, Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities Services Anna Wu revealed a broad vision of a campus reimagined as a more welcoming, connected and service-oriented space.

Co-workers describe Odom as thorough, meticulous, selfless, committed, friendly and dedicated. Those qualities and more are why Odom is one of six University employees selected this year for the prestigious C. Knox Massey Distinguished Service Award.

During the second year of implementation, Transportation and Parking's Five-Year plan has successfully executed customer enhancements and new programs for the University.

Several construction projects will begin across campus starting Monday, May 14, 2018. Projects are scheduled to be completed over the summer when possible to reduce the impact on students and University activities.
