Carrboro Farmers’ Market Walk and Visit / Halloween Potluck

The SCE Sustainability and Health & Wellness committees, along with the SCE Walking Club, are sponsoring an exciting outing to the Carrboro Farmers’ Market on Wednesday, October 25.
Join your co-workers for a leisurely Autumn afternoon walk to the market. We will leave from the front entrance of the Roberson building at 3:45pm. Once at the market, we will be treated to a short tour from Market Manager LaShauna Austria, after which participants may buy locally-sourced seasonal food from market vendors. Those who choose to can take home their purchases and create a delicious dish to share at the Sunshine Committee’s Halloween potluck on Tuesday, October 31.
The resulting bounty will be served on a designated ‘healthy foods’ table provided by the Health and Wellness committee, whose members will be bringing their favorite healthy potluck items and will share their recipes.
