What is your role in the Service Center of Excellence?
Since arriving at the SCE, I have learned a new procedure to help process the web travel tickets for the SCE Finance division. I enjoy working with the customers and like to feel that I helped make their “to do list” shorter. Especially, I find it rewarding working in the front reception area, talking with all our staff and visitors each day.
What did you do before you came to the SCE?
My first UNC job was with UNC Printing Services. There, I invoiced customers for their copy center jobs and began working with Carolina Copy and their accounts. I was with UNC Printing for 17 years and moved to Auxiliary Services in Lenoir Hall after our department was outsourced. While there, I continued to work with Carolina Copy accounts and a variety of other accounting tasks which served Mail Services and the UNC airport.
Why are you excited about joining the SCE?
Although it was scary to leave the comfort of an office that I was part of for a long time, I have been so happy getting to know my new team here. It has been a wonderful change. Each day, I look forward to getting to know everyone just a little bit better.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
My life is full and happy spoiling our two special granddaughters. They like to shop, shop and shop!
What is something people probably wouldn’t know about you?
My husband and I enjoy singing together! We met in our high school chorus 44 years ago!
