Collette works closely with business partners within F&O and across campus to guide the strategic direction of CISDE. She also oversees the day-to-day operations and engagement functions of the SCE. She holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of Colorado. She has been at UNC for six and a half years with her previous role in the Dean’s office at the College of Arts & Sciences as the Assistant Dean of the Finance Business Center. She stays very busy driving the mom taxi for her four children.
Senior training and documentation analyst Joanne Filley is obsessed with making it easier for people to get their jobs done, which she does by organizing information and simplifying documentation for the CISDE team. She has only worked at UNC for two years, but her Tar Heel roots run deep, having grown up in Chapel Hill and earned a BFA and an MBA at Carolina. She loves to garden and stays busy trying to keep up with her middle-school aged son.
Cortney designs and presents classroom trainings and job aids covering a wide variety of topics in the realms of finance and professional development. She has over a decade of experience in the field of education, training and organizational development. Also, Cortney loves a good binge worthy series or epic movie.
Michele works with safety training & compliance, is developing a skilled trades training program, and provides educational /professional development support to Facilities Services at UNC. Her graduate degrees/professional experience in US History (Social Justice/Labor), Public Health, and Education have given her a cool foundation for a job that has so many layers and prismatic components. She loves to be “out and about,” watching people and collecting information that she can use in the novel she is working on for St. Martin’s Press–Praying Like Crazy.
Michael designs and presents trainings and job aids on a wide range of finance-related topics. He studied Education at Appalachian State University and has been an educator since January 2009. Michael is also a musician, playing the clarinet and saxophone for over 20 years. He performs with Jazz Bands around the triangle area.
Mary provides Administrative support to the SCE Executive Directors and operations support for the Service Center of Excellence.
