Collette Brown, Executive Director
Collette works closely with business partners within F&O and across campus to guide the strategic direction of CISDE. She also oversees the day-to-day operations and engagement functions of the SCE. She holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of Colorado. She stays very busy driving the mom taxi for her four children.

Joanne Filley, Continuous Improvement and Organizational Development Manager
Joanne is obsessed with making it easier for people to get their jobs done, which she does by working with her team to organize information, create user-friendly training and process documentation and develop staff and organizational develop opportunities within Finance and Operations. Her Tar Heel roots run deep, having grown up in Chapel Hill and earned a BFA and an MBA at Carolina. She loves to garden, play croquet, entertain friends and family and work on creative projects around the house.

Cortney Alston, Learning, Staff Development and Engagement Manager

Michael Krier, Finance Training Specialist
Michael designs and presents trainings and job aids on a wide range of finance-related topics. He studied Education at Appalachian State University and has been an educator since January 2009. Michael is also a musician, playing the clarinet and saxophone for over 20 years. He performs with Jazz Bands around the triangle area.

Layna Johnson, Apprenticeship and Professional Training Program Coordinator
Layna has a passion for designing programs that focus on growing the workforce from within. She is dedicated to finding strengths and hidden talents in employees as well as providing exciting professional development advancement tools for her colleagues at F&O. She recently purchased a beach house with her husband and is looking forward to all the sunrises and sunsets the coast has to offer.

Critical Systems and Application Services
Critical Systems and Application Services specialists provide high level systems administration and applications support for essential services across Finance and Operations. We provide support for IT systems and services that are considered mission critical and essential to the day-to-day operations of the University. These Systems and Applications support safety, well-being, and secure access for the entire campus community.Commercial Systems and Special Projects
Commercial Systems and Special Projects staff provide consulting, vendor management, and support for many of the commercial systems used in Campus Enterprises. This includes payment card industry (PCI) data security compliance, security planning, system architecture design, server asset management, and Carolina Managed Print Services support and maintenance. Commercial Systems also supports UNC vendor partners like Aramark and Barnes and Noble College.Business Unit Support
The Business Unit Support (BUS) team primarily provides elevated IT support of all Finance and Operations operations. Our support professionals work from multiple strategically selected locations to provide rapid response to our customers who span the entirety of the UNC campus. BUS provides support for a variety of IT issues including specialized applications and devices, and non-computer IT systems including building controls, door readers, TIM clocks, point of sale terminals, and laundry readers. We also provide consultation, onboarding, and managing of user access and desk side support as needed. We partner with the ITS Service Desk to provide routine desktop support for our customers.Security and Logistics
The Security and Logistics group provides project management, purchasing, praxis, and special needs support for F&O users across the university and beyond. The Security and Logistics group provides targeted services to help F&O IT employees meet the special needs of our customers though advanced troubleshooting, security remediation, and process definition techniques. The group also provides preventive, on-demand, specialty, legacy, digital communication, and knowledge management support to help all F&O employees achieve our business and personal goals every day.Digital Solutions Services
