A new allocation model will help provide more predictability and transparency around resource allocation to academic units and create a more direct link between revenue generation and distribution.

Thanks to a collaboration between Facilities Services and Emergency Management and Planning, Carolina students, faculty and staff who opt in can receive outage notifications on their mobile phones when a campus elevator is out of service.

Nathan Knuffman, vice chancellor for finance and operations, is the man with the $4 billion budget plan, which he will present to the UNC System Board of Governors at its meeting on May 25.

While working for six vice chancellors since 2008, Massey Award winner Trevaughn Eubanks has always shown her signature pizzazz and an “unrelenting heart of service.”

The recipients, including Trevaughn Eubanks, a University program specialist in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Operations and Mark Moon, a grounds supervisor in Facilities Services, will receive recognition for their contributions at an in-person event.

As part of the new state budget, faculty and staff will soon receive one-time bonuses, with raises coming in 2022. The budget also funds important University initiatives and building repairs.

Technology developed to accommodate external registers at outdoor dining tents has been leveraged to support food trucks without incurring additional student costs or fees.

Working behind the scenes after the pandemic hit, the Finance and Operations IT team quickly adopted touchless technologies to keep students, staff and faculty safe.

Knuffman has served as interim vice chancellor for Finance and Operations since August. He will assume this new position on March 22.
