During the second year of implementation, Transportation and Parking's Five-Year plan has successfully executed customer enhancements and new programs for the University.

Several construction projects will begin across campus starting Monday, May 14, 2018. Projects are scheduled to be completed over the summer when possible to reduce the impact on students and University activities.

On May 15, 2018, Horace Williams Airport will close to the public, following the UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees’ resolution in November 2017 authorizing closure of the airport.

Just in time for commencement, Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) restored service to the Manning Drive Elevated Drinking Water Tank on the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's campus.

Two Facilities Services employees, Nan Kham and Daryl Maurice Odom, were selected by Chancellor Folt to receive the 2018 C. Knox Massey Distinguished Service Award, one of the most coveted distinctions earned by faculty and staff.
