Affiliate Requests
Affiliates are individuals who work in collaboration with the University or require University services, but are not students, employees, or paid by UNC Payroll.
The F&O HR Service Center facilitates individual requests for PID creation, reactivation or termination for University Affiliates working in Finance and Operations departments. Affiliates must have a UNC-Chapel Hill sponsor.
Approved Affiliates needing a UNC One Card must go to the One Card office. The Affiliate must present a driver’s license, passport, or military ID for identification purposes.
At this time, the Human Resources Service Center of Excellence service offerings are limited to departments within the divisions of Finance and Operations, as well as the Office of Internal Audit, the Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs, and the Office of Faculty Governance.
General Requirements
- Confirm availability of funds
- Identify a sponsor
- Complete Affiliate Request Form
- Complete background check (if needed)
- Create Onyen for affiliate
