In response to the current unprecedented situation resulting from COVID-19, the University is assessing its financial situation and identifying approaches to address emerging challenges.
From enhanced sanitation measures to preparing to teach courses remotely, Carolina employees have spent the past several days adapting University operations in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Housekeeping Services uses best-in-class cleaning processes and is working diligently to increase disinfection of campus high-touch surfaces. Pandemic preparedness plans are in place and cleaning protocols will be updated as necessary.
For those traveling on University business, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Policy 1504 on Transportation Expenses and Mileage Rates allows for reimbursement of cancellation and change fees if the “cancellation or change is made at the direction of and for the convenience of the department.”
