On a typical Tar Heel football game day, the UNC-Chapel Hill campus sees an influx of as many as 50,000 extra people. Months before game day, Finance and Operations staff are planning for this major event.

Finance and Operations provides essential services that support the daily activities of more than 29,000 students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate and professional programs at the University.
Some Finance and Operations departments will operate under reduced hours while students are on Winter Break, beginning as early as Dec. 18.

In March 2017, Carolina Dining Services (CDS) officially changed the name of what was once Rams Head Dining at Chase Hall to Chase Dining Hall, reinstating the South Campus dining hall to its original namesake honoring former UNC President Harry Woodburn Chase (1919-1930).
