The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill ranks 39th among 200 colleges and universities nationwide, according to the Sierra Club “Cool Schools” annual sustainability report.

Students, staff and visitors now have a new option for way-finding at Carolina. UNC-Chapel Hill has partnered with CampusBird to develop an elegant and powerful mapping solution for our campus.

Like many people on Carolina’s campus, David Brannigan walks across the quad with a backpack. But instead of books and binders, Brannigan’s backpack holds a small engine designed to blow leaves from walkways and green spaces in a hurry.

University employees needing short-term transportation will soon be using a new service from Facilities Services. This August, the Carolina Motor Pool will transition to Enterprise Rent-a-Car, a change which will provide more options for staff and cost savings to the University.
