Paula Morris has been named Financial Shared Services Director for the Service Center of Excellence, effective Nov. 20, 2024.
In this role, Morris leads three customer service teams and an accounting team in SCE Finance, overseeing transactional processing services for our SCE customers.
Morris began her journey at UNC-Chapel Hill in 1990, and she has dedicated her entire career to serving the University. A graduate of the Kenan-Flagler Business School, Paula first worked in Student Stores and then progressed through a variety of roles within Campus Enterprises, including One Card Office Accounting Supervisor, Auxiliary Services Business Manager, the first PID Administrator for the University, and Auxiliary Services Accounting Manager.
After taking time off to focus on her family, Morris returned to the University and to Auxiliary Services Accounting. She later became a lead accountant for SCE Finance during the Service Center’s formation in 2016, and most recently served as Interim Accounting Manager for the SCE Finance transactional team for the past two years.
With deep expertise in the University’s accounting systems, business operations and financial processes, Morris brings a wealth of knowledge to this leadership role. She is excited about this new opportunity and is eager to apply her experience, while also embracing new technologies, such as AI, to drive innovation and process improvements.
