What is your role in the Service Center of Excellence?
My role as an administrative support specialist in the SCE is twofold. First, I work behind the scenes making sure the third floor of the AOB is prepped and ready for all the teams who share the space throughout the week. Second, I provide direct support with supply orders, mail services, facility requests, building access, parking services, membership purchases, and conference registrations being the most common.
What did you do before you came to the SCE?
Before I came to the SCE, I worked in the HR department at NC State; before that, I worked in the Cashier’s Office at UNC Asheville.
What is your favorite part of working at the SCE?
My favorite part of working at the SCE is being able to provide support to so many different teams and departments. This allows me to learn many different skills and tackle unique projects to support specific teams or individuals.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy photography, board games, cooking, reading, and watching movies/tv shows.
What is something people probably wouldn’t know about you or another fun item you’d like to share?
One thing that people probably wouldn’t guess is that I really like musicals. I’m a musical theater person. My favorite musical is probably Hadestown, and I just got to see it for the second time this year yesterday.
