What is your role in the Service Center of Excellence?
I’m an IT system programmer and analyst for Finance and Operations IT. I’m responsible for the database clusters, other general system functions and the various networks involved.
What did you do before you came to the SCE?
I was the network engineer for my hometown, working for both the schools and the government. In this position, I was responsible for their network infrastructure.
What is your favorite part of working at the SCE?
One of my favorite parts of working at the SCE is definitely the people. I enjoy working with people with such in-depth knowledge of the methods we deal with daily. I love how my team knows exactly what they are doing and why they need to accomplish it, which helps us get directly to the root of the issue more quickly. This lets us focus on what is the problem and how do we fix it.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I like to watch sitcoms. My favorites include Modern Family, Parks and Recreation and Brooklyn 99. I also like to play video games, like Mario and Zelda.
What is something people probably wouldn’t know about you or another fun item you’d like to share?
One thing that people might know about me is that I am incredibly difficult to frustrate, I mean, quite literally impossible. This mindset is because I have discipline and mottos for my life, a key one being that everything can be fixed – nothing is beyond repair, and even if it takes more time, it can be fixed at the end of the day.
