What is your role in the Service Center of Excellence?
I’m the new Financial Business Analyst with – you guessed it! – Finance. I have some of the responsibilities (security, workflow) of Bea Muganda. Additionally, I’m responsible for the development of new financial dashboards and reporting.
What did you do before you came to the SCE?
I’ve worked at UNC for 12 years. Initially, I worked in the School of Medicine primarily in training and report development. For the last 5 1/2 years, I worked for ITS with ConnectCarolina. With ITS, I led campus finance training during the move from FRS to ConnectCarolina and then served as a Senior Business Analyst for Commitment Control where I oversaw major financial projects and developed a number of campus financial reports.
What is your favorite part of working at SCE?
Location, location, location! The parking is SWEET! And oh the cappuccino from Open Eye… Game. Changer.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy reading a great book with a hot cup of coffee. But, what I really do with my free time is tag team with my husband to wrangle our two boys (Lane, 9 and EJ, 8).
What is something people probably wouldn’t know about you, or another fun item you’d like to share?
My husband calls me Hip Hop Mama. He says I have a song lyric for every situation, and I think that’s very nearly true. I enjoy getting to know new people, so please stop by and say hello. (I’m in Area 51 with Laurie B.)
