What is your role in the Service Center of Excellence?
I am an administrative support specialist for the SCE human resources team. My responsibility is overseeing the recruitment and staffing for the temporary housekeepers on campus. It’s a role that allows me to work very closely with people, while serving the campus in a unique way. I will also be administering the SCE’s Mentor Program, which everyone should consider joining!
What did you do before you came to the SCE?
Before coming to the SCE, I worked in the retail industry for almost 10 years. I specialized in training and development for store associates—when I wasn’t folding jeans and t-shirts!
What is your favorite part of working at SCE?
My favorite part about working at the SCE is the work environment. I love working alongside others who are as passionate as I am about providing good service to the community. My new team has been wonderful.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Photography is such a huge passion of mine; cooking as well. I can make a mean smoked Gouda mac and cheese.
What is something people probably wouldn’t know about you, or another fun item you’d like to share?
I am an avid movie buff! I also have a degree in the study of film.
