What is your role in the Service Center of Excellence?
I’m an Accounting Technician for Toni Horton’s team and I handle items for Auxiliary Services.
What did you do before you came to the SCE?
Directly before coming to SCE, I was the accounts payable person for UNC Student Stores before it was outsourced to Barnes & Noble. Before coming to the University, I was a route man for Lance Crackers.
What is your favorite part of working at SCE?
For the first time in a long time I have a job I enjoy. When I was trying to go to college, in my younger days, I wanted to go into accounting, but due to circumstances that never happened. Now I finally get to do what I always wanted to do.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Hanging out with my wife and two fur babies. Also, NASCAR and grilling. (And yes, I have too many grills.)
What is something people probably wouldn’t know about you, or another fun item you’d like to share?
Two interesting things about me are that I met my wife at a service station. Yes, a service station. And, I spent one summer 20 some years ago working as a pit crew member on a go-kart racing team.
