CarolinaSafe Spring FestUNC-Chapel Hill will host its first annual CarolinaSafe Spring Fest on Thursday, April 20, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. behind South Building at the Polk Place stairs. Sponsored by the Office of the Chancellor and the Department of Public Safety, CarolinaSafe Spring Fest will highlight the University’s new mobile safety application, LiveSafe and promote other campus safety resources.

Students, faculty and staff are invited to learn more about ways to stay safe on campus while enjoying ice cream from Maple View Farm. Chancellor Carol Folt will make an appearance, and campus organizations such as UNC Counseling & Psychological Services, the Equal Opportunity & Compliance Office and Student Wellness will share helpful resources. Self-defense and CPR instructors will provide interactive demos, and neighborhood K-9 units will stop by.

The CarolinaSafe Spring Fest will also feature LiveSafe contests, prizes, LiveSafe swag and student performances by Tar Heel Voices, Carolina Jump Rope Club, Harmonyx, UNC Samaa, Cadence and Bhangra Elite.
