Jackie Overton, training specialist in transportation and parking, is this year’s staff winner of the prestigious University Award for the Advancement of Women. Jackie has a long history as a hero of the underserved for both the university and the Chapel Hill-Carrboro community. She currently serves on the board of the Association for Women Faculty and Professionals and the steering committee of the Carolina Black Caucus. We join Chancellor Folt in congratulating Jackie on this well-deserved award.
